The Second Stage of the 26th Universal Baptism will be Held on March 10

On March 10, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the second stage of the 26th universal infant baptism will be held.

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia will become the Godfather of 420 more infants.

It’s worth to note, that due to the large number of children whose parents have expressed a desire to participate in universal baptism ceremony, 26th baptism was divided into two phases. The first stage took place on March 3. More than 800 babies were registered for 26^th universal baptism ceremony.

To date, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II christened 14,312 children.

Note that this initiative of the Patriarch aims to increase the birth rates in Georgia.

The first universal infant baptism was held on January 19, 2008 in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.
