Lecture course – “ Negotiation ways, methods and tactics “

On 9th of February in the “Intellectual-Educational Studio of Youth” at the international Foundation of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, within the framework of the “ The resolution of conflicts through negotiations “ new lecture courses “Negotiation ways, methods and tactics “ have started and four meetings have been organized so far. The meeting was led by Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary Mr. Lasha Zhvania.
At the first meeting introduction was read and lecturer discussed in general about the ways, methods and tactics of negotiations. He also talked about negotiation art, about possible contradictions arising while negotiation and overcoming these barriers. He discussed the topic of Third Party and etc.
On 16th of February the second meeting from lecture courses was held and the topic was “psychology of negotiation.” Lecturer explained what does effective negotiation means, also explained the elements of persuasion and making influence, also instruments of negotiating. He talked about the importance of defying interests ahead, arranging tactic and strategy, about the importance of gesticulation, voice tone and timbre. He also explained that using right communication - proper transfer of information and perception, proper using of argumentation is really significant for successful negotiation. The second part of lecture simulation practice took place with bilateral soft components.
On the 20th of February the students of Intellectual-Educational Studio attended the play “Haraleti, Haraleti” at the cinema-actors theater named after Mikhail Tumanishvili. The play which belongs to writer Guram Dochanashvili was set by the director Nugzar Bagrationi.
Second meeting was held on 23th of February. The topic of the meeting was tactical methods and the simulation of the negotiation (practical work) – multilateral negotiation with hard components. The meeting was dedicated to the negotiation simulation. Lecturer divided attendants into five group and suggested to solve the problem with the help of the negotiation. Their controversial object was the building in the prestigious district of Tbilisi.
At the end of the meeting lecturer nominated the best negotiators from each group. Also lecturer examined the result of the game and gave proper recommendation.
On the 1st of March within the framework of “ Negotiation ways, methods and tactics “ the last lecture ,, Basics for success in the negotiation process " was held.
On March 15, within the framework of a program, a new series of lectures -,, conflict psychology "- begins.
The aforementioned project is carried out with the support of Non-Governmental International Organization “ World Vision”.
