On April 7, in the Cathedral Temple of Svetitskhoveli, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia  Ilia II  has fulfilled the liturgy of Annunciation and appealed to the parishioners after the service.

“As our ancestors say, the Annunciation is such a gorgeous occasion, that even the birds stop building their nets and pray to God. We praise the Lord and thank him, beg him to give us mercy, peace, joy and love, " – Patriarch designated.

Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili attended the church service. Patriarch blessed him and sprinkled  the sanctified water to him.

"Today, people must be an evangelists , here, you are given a blessing, to tell people the good news, not sad, not negative, as our television broadcast  does, it makes a total negative gravity, stress, hardly a day goes by,  that we don’t get information about that someone has committed suicide. Joy must preach to people, look into the human heart "- His Holiness said.

On todays sermon, the Patriarch blessed the Russians, Abkhazians, Ossetians and other nationalities who were in the temple, and  congratulated them. "You are my spiritual children, as the Georgians are, so we need to be together, to provide support  to each other", - said His Holiness.

In connection with the Annunciation, the three crosses were sanctified, they will remain to Svetitskhoveli until the third Sunday of Easter, and after that it will be taken to Jvari, to the Mountain of Mtskheta and finally to Ujarma. Today the clerics will sanctify the streets of Mtskheta.
