MEDIATION – CONFLICT RESOLUTION (INCLUDING RELIGIOUS) THROUGH NEGOTIATION May - 2016

In May in the “Intellectual-Educational Studio of Youth” at the international Foundation of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, within the framework of the project “Mediation – Conflict Resolution (Including Religious) Through Negotiation four lectures were held. . Philosophy doctor, professor Levan Gigineishvili read the following lectures.
10th of May – “ Forming critical, non-dogmaticall thinking culture in ancient Greece as the tolerant space terms”
17th of May – “The essence of enlightening and formation of personality’s new understanding in Europe: a new dimension of freedom and responsibility"
24th of May – “ Georgian and Europian tradition: Before and after the Tergdaleulebi”
31st of May – At the request of students the lecture was held on the topic of “ Marriage Law”, which was read by Tbilisi Theological Seminary and Academy PhD, Master of Law father Longinoz Suarishvilma. The lecturer discussed the following issues: The marriage in the old and new testament, Church teaching on Christian marriage, marriage as a mystery, Paul Apostle teaching, brief history of the development performance of canonical marriage, prerequisites marriage, disturbing marriage causes, the canonical reasons for the marriage cancellation.
In May, the studio students attended the XI International Festival "From Easter to Ascension" within the concerts:
May 8 - the concert was dedicated and devoted to composer Vazha Azarashvili’s 80th anniversary. The concert program included Instrumental as well as composer’s vocal works. Young people were especially impressed by the renowned Baritone - Gia Gagnidze with whom, after the concert commemorative photos were taken.
May 18 - the students were invited to the Tbilisi Opera House to Zakaria Paliashvili’s opera “Abesalom and Eteri” . Young people were impressed with the performance as well as the renewed theater.
May 20 - students attended the concert in which world renowned multi-musician from Israel Khen Tsimbalista was soloist and conductor.
May 22 – On the next concert of the festival studio students visited the Great Hall of the Conservatory, where concert of Georgian choral music was held. Georgian chants, folk songs and other works of the composer were played in that evening.
The aforementioned project is carried out with the support of Non-Governmental International Organization “ World Vision”
