Lecture course - “The Spiritual Art and The Symbolism”

On 25^th of February in the “Intellectual-Educational Studio of Youth” at the international Foundation of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, within the framework of the “The Program of the Intellectual and Spiritual Development” within the lecture courses of “The Spiritual Art and The Symbolism” second meeting was held, where the issue of “The meaning of symbols in Christian art” was discussed. The doctor of Arts, Asmat Okropiridze was invited to discuss this issue.

At the lecture the conversation concerned the features of Christian worldview and therefore the aesthetics, symbolism of Christian colors, features of anthropomorphic images and etc. Also phenomenal manifestation of Christian culture - Icon was discussed, therefore its artistic features, difference between it and the secular photo.

The aforementioned project is carried out with the support of Non-Governmental International Organization “ World Vision”.
