Statement by Georgian Patriarchate
14/07/2015
The Patriarchate of Georgia considers the events taking place along so-called occupation line, a big mistake and totally unacceptable step in Russian-Georgian relations.
Today, on behalf of the Georgian Patriarchate, a statement was made by Metropolitan of Gori and Ateni, Bishop Andria Gvazava.
"As we know, recently, so-called border line with the de-facto republic of South Ossetia was moved again. It is a repeatedly attempt to seize the territory of our country. We have repeatedly stated and reiterate that we consider the events taking place along so-called occupation line, a big mistake and totally unacceptable step in Russian-Georgian relations. We think it is necessary an even more active involvement of the international community, in order that Georgia was able to be protected against such attacks, "- is said in a statement.
